Eligibility

Non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health with strong academic performance and conduct. Bachelor applicants must be aged 18-25 and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. All bachelor applicants must take the CSCA; Chinese Language applicants with HSK 4 score 180 or above are exempt from Humanities Chinese.

Language

Language requirements vary by major and must be checked in the 2026 bachelor program catalog. Applicants should submit valid language proof; Malaysian Independent Chinese Secondary School applicants are exempt from Chinese proof.

Application path

Apply by June 22, 2026 through studyatnenu.nenu.edu.cn or nenu.17gz.org. Pay the CNY 400 application fee online. Submit passport, diploma, transcripts, CSCA report, language proof, a study plan of at least 600 words, physical examination, and no-criminal-record certificate. Complete academic review and online interview; final results are issued by email before July 2026.

Program notes

Application deadline: June 22, 2026. The NENU Presidential Scholarship for Outstanding International Students is a full scholarship awarded after comprehensive evaluation. Admission notices and JW202 forms are issued after final review.
